Cpl Casey Owens, a wounded Marine, salutes as his mother Janna Owens cries during the inaugural speech by President Bush. (Jonathan Ernst - Reuters)
Words cannot express the emotion of this photo. Cpl Owens sits in a wheelchair saluting his Commander in Chief while his mother stands next to him crying. Cpl Owens’ dedication to duty and his Commander in Chief in spite of his injuries shows the world the honor of United States Marines.
